Ferrous and Non-ferrous Auto Paint Meter
The auto paint meter is an economical and practical portable measuring instrument. It can measure coating thickness quickly without damage and has high precision. It can be used in the laboratory as well as in the engineering field. It is widely used in manufacturing, metal processing industry, chemical industry, commodity inspection and other testing fields.
There are two types of auto paint meters on the market: ferrous substrate (Fe) and non-ferrous substrate (NFe).
1. Ferrous auto paint meter
The ferrous auto paint meter uses magnetic induction principle to measure nonmagnetic coatings on magnetic metal substrates such as steel, iron, etc., such as: paint, powder, plastic, rubber, synthetic materials, chromium, zinc, lead, aluminum, tin, cadmium, porcelain, bismuth, oxide layer, etc. The magnetic induction coating thickness tester uses the magnetic flux of the probe flowing into the magnetic metal substrate through the non-magnetic coating to measure the coating thickness. In general, the thicker the coating on the substrate surface, the greater the magnetic resistance and the smaller the magnetic flux.
2. NFe-Non ferrous based substrate
It adopts eddy current principle to measure enthalpy, rubber, paint, plastic layer, etc. on copper, aluminum, zinc, tin and other substrates. The eddy current principle can be used for the measurement of non-conductive coatings on non-magnetic metal substrates (copper, aluminum, magnesium, zinc, etc.). For example, aluminum surface anodic oxide, copper spray paint, etc.
Linshang auto paint meter uses magnetic induction and eddy current principle. It can be used for both iron and aluminum and can automatically identifies and converts substrates.
