(A) Mechanical polishing is a polishing method that obtains a smooth surface by cutting and plastically deforming the material surface to remove the raised parts after polishing. Advantages: The surface roughness can reach Ra0.008μm, which is the highest among various polishing methods. This method is often used in optical lens molds.
(B) Chemical polishing is a method of eliminating wear scars, etching and leveling by the selective dissolving effect of chemical reagents on the uneven sample surface.
(C) Electrolytic polishing uses the workpiece to be cast as the anode and insoluble metal as the cathode. Both poles are immersed in the electrolytic bath at the same time.The selective anode dissolution is generated by the direct current ionization reaction, so as to remove the fine burrs on the surface workpiece and increase the brightness. Advantages: no deterioration layer, no additional stress; wide processing range; high production efficiency. It is mainly used for metal products and parts with small surface roughness, such as ornaments, springs, etc.
