Nowadays, China's industry is developing rapidly. Many equipment and pipelines have been in contact with corrosive vapors and liquids for a long time. Various corrosion phenomena have occurred in equipment and pipelines, which seriously affects the normal operation of industrial enterprises and causes unnecessary costs.

1. Application fields of industrial anticorrosive coatings

Firstly, industrial anticorrosive coatings are widely used. First, it can change the nature of metals. The technical term is alloy treatment. This is mostly used in the field of seawater corrosion resistance of steel. However, due to economic factors, it has not been put into large-scale use. Secondly, it can form a protective layer, which is coated on the metal or non-metal surface to prevent the surface of metal or objects that are easily corroded with oxygen.

The application areas of anticorrosive coatings mainly include the following five aspects:

① Emerging offshore engineering: offshore facilities, coastal and bay structures, offshore oil drilling platforms;
② Modern transportation: highway guardrails, bridges, boats, containers, train and railway facilities, cars, airport facilities;
③ Energy industry: hydraulic equipment, water tanks, gas tanks, petroleum refining equipment, petroleum storage equipment (oil pipes, oil tanks), power transmission and transformation equipment, nuclear power, coal mines;
④Large industrial enterprises: papermaking equipment, medical equipment, food chemical equipment, inner and outer walls of metal containers, pipes, storage tanks of chemical, steel, petrochemical plants, mine smelting, cement plant equipment, floors with corrosive media, walls, cement components;
⑤Municipal facilities: gas pipelines and their facilities (such as gas cabinets), natural gas pipelines, drinking water facilities, garbage disposal equipment, etc .;

2. Classification of anticorrosive coatings

Industrial anticorrosive coatings are generally divided into conventional anticorrosive coatings and heavy anticorrosive coatings. Both anti-corrosive coatings must be used with care to avoid direct contact with the skin and cause unnecessary accidental damage.
       Conventional anticorrosive coatings are more common in daily life and the production process is relatively simple. You only need to add some simple anticorrosive coatings, which are conventional anticorrosive coatings. Its main anticorrosive object is to prevent metal from corrosion under normal conditions.
       The production process of heavy anticorrosive coatings is relatively complicated. Compared with conventional anticorrosive coatings, it can be used in relatively harsh and large environments. The anticorrosive grade can reach a type of anticorrosive coatings that have a longer protection period than conventional anticorrosive coatings.

3. Selection Guide for Anticorrosive Coatings

There are three major factors in general: the nature of the environment, the feasibility of construction and consideration of supporting performance.

(1) Nature of the environment

Depending on the condition of the corrosive medium, gas or liquid phase, hot and humid areas or dry areas.

(2) Feasibility of construction

Some are suitable for brushing, some are suitable for spraying and some are naturally drying to form a film.

(3) Consider supporting performance

Most coatings are based on organic colloidal materials, after coating each layer of the coating to form a film, it is inevitable that there are many abnormally small micropores. The corrosive medium may still penetrate into the steel. The current price of industrial anticorrosive coatings on the market ranges from 500 to 2,000 RMB. At the time of purchase, we must pay attention to whether the application area of the anticorrosive coating is required by ourselves and avoid unexpected accidents.

4. Anti-corrosion coating thickness detection

The measurement of the metal surface coating thickness is also extremely important. If the metal surface coating thickness is too thick or too thin, it will directly affect the metal anti-corrosion performance and service life. The metal surface coating thickness can generally be measured by using a paint thickness tester. The accuracy of the three paint thickness testers independently developed by Linshang Technology is consistent with the accuracy of the international paint thickness tester brand Q-nix. It is currently the highest precision paint thickness measuring instrument Chinese paint thickness testers.
