Multi-Channel UV Light Tester for Detection of Arc Welding
In life, we often come into contact with electric welding, which is an operation that is realized by the use of an electrode to melt a metal part at a high temperature to be connected. Among them, arc welding is the most widely used welding method. Arc welding produces ultraviolet light and harms people. Therefore, the detection of ultraviolet energy in arc welding by multi-channel UV light tester is inevitable.
1.Welding arc and its principle:
Electric arc welding is a phenomenon of arcing short circuit. To put it simply, in the process of electric welding, an arc is established after the electrodes are contacted. After the contact, the arc with a high local temperature is generated as a source of ignition. The arc can be divided into an arc between the charged conductors, an arc between the live conductor and the ground and creepage of the insulating surface depending on the location of the arc. Among these arcs, there are strong light, infrared rays, ultraviolet rays, x-rays, etc. Some of them have great harm to the human body.

1)Impact on the human eye:
The main frequency of the electric arc is 290nm, 365nm, 254nm. The ultraviolet rays mainly cause damage to the human body through photochemical action, resulting in acute or chronic damage to human tissues. For example, it can cause photophobia, tearing, pain and crystal changes in the human eye. In severe cases, it can cause vision loss, ophthalmia or cataracts.
2)Impact on human skin:
Electro-elastic arcing can cause acute or chronic damage to the skin, causing burns, redness, itching and molting. In severe cases, erythema can cause skin cancer.
3.Multi-channel UV light tester detects the arc welding:
Since the welding arc is harmful to the human body, we use a multi-channel UV light tester to detect the arc welding.
